Daniel 6 - The Lions in Daniel's Den       February 8, 2020
We live in a type of Babylon - a culture that does not know God. This message is the sixth of a series on the book of Daniel, drawing lessons on how to live and respond appropriately in this world, while staying true to the faith. Recounting the events in Chapter 6, this message highlights the importance of prayer, patience, remembering God's past intervention in our lives, expressing thankfulness and, above all, trusting God for protection and deliverance in this life and into the next.

This is the eighth in a series on the book of Daniel, from which we can draws lessons on how to live and practice our faith in this world. Chapter 9 contains the famous prophecy of 70 Weeks. It is one of the longest prophecies in the entire book and spans thousands of years of human history. This message highlights a very meaningful prayer by Daniel, which resulted in God giving Daniel that pivotal prophesy. Through that prayer, Daniel received hope, as can we, knowing that God is in complete control then, now, and into the future.

Our focus must remain on God the Father and Jesus Christ in order to endure Babylon and get to that Kingdom.

Even people of faith, who have God's Spirit, can be bewildered by the events and disappointments in life. Is God aware? Does He care? We can have doubts and even, at times, despair. How much of God's plan and the way He interacts with us do we understand? This encouraging message examines those areas and how we can have faith in the all-knowing, loving God and the glorious future He has in store for humanity.
